Just last week, I received a well worn Canon EOS 500N through eBay. I didn’t know what to expect from this camera. It has a crack on the top right corner above the Av button and a small crack bellow the shutter button. It’s very plasticky down to the lens mount. The build quality is nothing like my 5D Mark II, 7D or even the Rebel T5i. It was still sturdy enough to get the job done. I tried it out on a group photo shoot, and so far I’m pleased with the results. To see the results, please check out this link to the First Group Shoot film photos.
I’m not going to post the specs, so instead, I’ll post this link to the tech specs of this camera.
Here are some fancy shots of the EOS 500N with a newly acquired EF 135mm F2.8 soft focus lens. These were taken with my neglected Canon EOS 7D and Tamron 17-50 F2.8 VC.
